Walk the Path to Hope as Husband and Wife
The Power of Kami Changed Our Kokoro 180 degrees

 (MI from Hyogo Prefecture/50’s/Female/Nurse)

My husband did not believe in the presence of Kami. I also used to ask my dear friends who were shinja to not visit my home and talk about Kami. However, our kokoro for Kami changed completely this year.

Went to Kami no Yakata because of the Anxiety Caused by an Intractable Disease

Last spring, my husband sometimes could not speak distinctly, then his way of walking got strange and he also fell down many times.

We followed medical treatment and the anxiety of an intractable disease flashed through our mind. At that time, we are suggested by an acquaintance and went to Kami no Yakata.

The moment I sat the shinden, tears dropped surprisingly from my eyes as I felt to be filled with something warm that wrapped me. And when I learned Kami’s teachings, my mind changed positive that “There is no time to cry. It is me that should support my husband.”

After that I felt so happy when I saw my husband who copied shinji very hard which doubled his rehabilitation. I felt relieved from the bottom of my heart that we could share hope together.

Support My Husband Absolutely…Positive and Strong Kokoro

Condition of my husbandwas diagnosed as the multiple system atrophy. It is a disease to gradually lose an exercise function and will stay in bed after all. However, I had confidence. No matter how hard his condition got worse, I will support him by making the best use of my strength. I want him to say that “My life was great thanks to you.” I also told him “Now, I could do my best for you.”

I did not imagine that I could be so positive and strong as this. It is just a change of kokoro that I could experience through Kami’s teachings.

Gratitude toward the Kindness from Surroundings

Condition of my husband progressed slowly, and he finally retired. However, there is no sense of sorrow in our mind. That is because our surrounding neighbors take care of us very well. Some neighbors invite my husband by asking “Will you help the peeling of harvested agricultural products?” and he goes to work happily every day.

I thank to Kami from the bottom of my heart since we got a chance to deepen ties with surrounding neighbors. In addition, this work becomes not only a rehabilitation for him, but also being helpful for them most of all. Although his disease has advanced, at the regular medical check, it is said that his exercise function of arms and legs are maintained surprisingly. Sadness of getting the disease changed our kokoro of thanks to the disease. Now, I am filled with the sense of fulfillment that “We walk the path together.”
