I was told by my boss that I always have one word too many to say. I am aware of my own shortcomings, but I always end up doing this just because I want to get involved with others as positively as possible. How do I know how much to involve and keep the right distance from others? (Male in his 40s)

It is important to positively get involved with people, but do you ever think about how much you are feeling about them? Taking your boss’s personality into consideration, you need to reflect on yourself and grasp what your boss really means when he/she says you have one word too many to say. To do so, pay more attention to what your boss tells you. When you see what he/she expects of you through your conversations with him/her, then you can make right efforts.
Shinji ―Words from Kami(*1)―
The unmei(*2) Kami has given you has the potentials to contribute to society.
There is only one way to hone your unmei―to live by the principles of the path.
The more each other’s unmei come together, the more efforts will bear fruit, leading to enhanced results.
All people were given their unmei to be useful to society at the time of their birth. Honing and improving one’s unmei, we will naturally come to see a way of life that is in sync with our positions and maintain a right sense of distance with others. To live by the principles of the path means to make use of one’s encounters, using the teachings of Kami as the mainstay of our life, and living in sync with the time, the place and the position. When we have acquired this way of living, then without fail, we will be able to build good relationship with others. You could turn your habit of having to say one word too many into your strength to make them reassure by informing them in more details. With the teachings, you can make use of your characters.
Where your heart becomes one with others’, the strengths of both parties will be fulfilled, leading to enhanced results of your work.
