I had a car accident 24 years ago. While I was driving, a car crashed into my car from the left at a breakneck speed and hit my car. I broke all my ribs on my left side. The injuries were so severe that the bones were stuck in the lungs.
The calamities did not stop there. A friend of mine who was doing business with me at the time borrowed a large amount of money in my name while I was in the hospital and disappeared. When I found out about it after I was discharged from the hospital, I was so shocked that I lost all my energy.
There was a Cause in the Way I Lived
Three children are still in school. I got a job as a dental technician, which was also my previous job, and worked hard with my wife. I often wondered if there is such suffering in life … It was Kami and the teachings that saved me from the depths of despair.
A life that has been rushed by oneself without any thoughts to care about what my family needed. The result is an accident and the debt. I realized that there was a “cause” and an “effect” through Kami’s teachings.
“I want to live sincerely.”—Feelings for my family that sprouted for the first time. I used to try not to tell my children about my negative feelings as much as possible, but I started to talk about them openly. “I’m in pain,” or “I’m trying my best like this.” As a result, the children began to confide in me about their relationship problems. As I gave advice with my wife to them, a sense of family unity emerged.
A few years ago, the debt was successfully repaid, and the whole family rejoiced. It was a tough road, but thanks to Kami’s teachings, I can say, “My family who has had this experience is definitely better.”
The Joy of Walking Life in Unity
I think the sense of unity in the family is deepening year by year. An event that happened the other day was one of them. Shadows were found in the lungs during a medical examination. I was told that I could have lung cancer. My grandfather, father, and two uncles all died of lung cancer. Even so, I was not upset, and it was reassuring that my son was close to me, saying, “Let’s think about the future after a detailed examination first.” There were no abnormalities in the test results. My family and I were very happy that our hearts were not shaken.
The history of our family is all about the word “unity”. My wife, in particular, did not blame me for being in debt and continued to support me emotionally while being between me and our children. Now that my children are working adults, my eldest son is going to become a dental technician like me. It took a lot of hard work, but I think that the reason why each of them grew up so well is because they have walked with Kami.
I can’t help but to think that every single thing that happens to me is an opportunity to correct the course of my mind and my outlook. So that we can leave our children and grandchildren a way of life that they are not ashamed of. I am renewing my decision to live out my life with Kami.

Learn the teachings with family and continue to strive to create a family that interacts with each other with principles.
Gradually, the kokoro (unmei) of family members will start to come together; jittai will be raised greatly.
The Six Elements of Happiness will start to bloom; and you will part from accidents, disasters, or illnesses.
The principles will become the sustain of your life; and a life led by the unmei will start to begin.
This is the prosperous society (family environment) leaving good elements behind.
