To work at a supermarket, what I aim is to make a store that is pleased by its customers. However, every work can never be completed by myself. It is important to work as a team and keep a harmony with everyone.
My personal change happened three years ago, when an opportunity occurred, I first worked on “to make a sense of unity”. The store where I became in charge with was opened at the era of Showa and deeply rooted in the area. Soon I found the reason why my colleague advised me it was a difficult store to work with.
The Effect to Keep a Calm Kokoro
The experienced part-timers never changed their way even though I told them the policy of the company as a chief of register. They said that “Our store keeps the same way.” or “Our customers also prefer the same way.” Rather, they accused my approach to the head office that I was wrong. However, there is no solution even though I argue with them. Whenever I kigan not to be swallowed when I feel irritated, my kokoro became calm or a manager lent me a hand. It was really a miracle.
The opportunity to learn the teachings gained. When I read the books of kyōkai, I could find what I need now. “To keep a harmony is important.” “I see. I try to practice in this way.” Soon, I came to judge accurately whether I should work on it now or wait for the right timing, or to involve or not.
When I Change My Action…
Most of all, I found to change myself is a top priority and not to change the other person. When the restroom got dirty, I cleaned it voluntarily. However, what I tried was to make use of a good point of each one not doing everything by myself. I asked for the person who is good at the computer to make a guidance notice and the manager approved the workmanship.
Gradually, the co-worker who clean up with me gained, and they came to accept the way they denied at first. Every month’s report also changed. Claims to me changed to proposals for a planning. The warm atmosphere which works on as they think of customers and co-workers expanded. I think the sense of teamwork was brought about under the changes of my kokoro.
One day, a part-timer who knew me at that time told me that “You changed.” He/she saw my change that I could have a broad-minded that I adjust the work as I understand the circumstance of each one and I also work for them even though I sometimes tell them clearly what we should not do is unchangeable.
I was nominated to the staff member of the newly open store and moved from August. Although there are several problems at the new workplace, the speed of improvement is first and I feel everything I learned from everyone I met is useful for me. I aim to make a store where is pleased by customers as I think of my family and new members and cooperate with them.

This is the kokoro(life) of a person who lives abide by the principle of work.
