When things don’t go my way, I tend to escape them; I have a bad habit of running away from difficult things. Therefore, every time I get a new job, I can’t stick with it for long. Because of this, I am always going through difficult days. (Male in his 30s)

All human beings are born when Kami (*1) gives them an unmei (*2) which is the strength to contribute to society. The strength of the unmei becomes the force that guides your life. When you can extend this strength of yours, you will live a rewarding life, with everything going in the right flow.
Shinji (*3)
Strive to live, with your kokoro (*4) (life) supported by the teachings of Kami.
Your kokoro will gradually calm down, and a will to live with a kokoro to give back will start to blossom.
When human beings live to give back, their kokoro(unmei) will start to shine, and they will meet work which will allow them to feel meaning and purpose.
When you don’t feel things are going your way, it means that you are suppressing the strength of your own unmei. Therefore, do some soul-searching, check your heart carefully against the teachings of Kami, and you will realize the distorted aspects of your thoughts and perceptions, and what needs to be corrected about your deeds and words.
When you realize them, you will clearly see and focus on what you should do now―such as consulting with your boss before taking the next step, and keeping them updated on the progress of the work without fail. You will be motivated to do your best with your work as you will come to see what you can do.
The more positively you get involved with your surroundings and accumulate experiences where you can be of use, the more confident you will be in yourself.
When you live in line with the teachings this way, you will sincerely face and deal with your work, even though you may sometimes make mistakes. You will grow into a person sought out by people around you, not only in your workplace but in any other social settings, allowing you to spend each day filled with meaning and purpose.
*1 Kami: Great power above named Ōyamanezunomioto, the source of all life.
*2 Unmei: The unique strengths given to each human being at the time of birth by Ōyamanezunomikoto that allows us to be useful in society, to help others, and to live a life of hope, meaning, and purpose.
*3 Shinji: The principles and teachings that are the word of Ōyamanezunomikoto and given to us through Shisha.
*4 Kokoro: The heart, the mindset; the thoughts and emotions that constantly move between the soul (unmei) and the physical body (jittai); if the kokoro is influenced by our temperament and other physical predispositions of our jittai, it becomes unbalanced; if it becomes one with our unmei, the kokoro becomes balanced and anchored.
