Payments from my clients have been delayed. I would send them a reminder, but none of them would respond with an installment. What should I do? (Male in his 60s/ Business Owner)

In the world of business, we hear a lot about troubles over contracts or payment issues. Even in this type of business world, there are two types of people in this world—those who run into those types of problems, and those who have no problem whatsoever. And the workings of the world play a big role in it.
By learning the workings of the world through the teachings of Kami, it is important to strive to be a person who builds a solid relationship of trust with the clients. When this is achieved, this experience will become the turning point to change the rest of your life filled with great things.
Shinji (*1)
Relationships based on profit give rise to a kokoro (*2) of frustration and discontent, wasting away the kokoro to give back.
When you live with a kokoro to give back that is true from the heart, your unmei will be protected in the hands of Kami, and can walk throughout your life making the best of your encounters filled with meaning and purpose.
Compensation will measure up for the service you provide.
The true meaning of work is to tirelessly make use of your abilities for someone else. Placing your focus on profit or greed will bring clients who also put focus on profit and greed.
People cannot betray or turn down people who are sincere and filled with generosity. For that reason, it is important that you become a person who faces their work with that kind of mindset. Herein, clients that you can establish a good, mutual relationship will come to you. By being appreciated, you will be able to experience meaning and purpose through work, and the compensation will increase naturally. This is the principle—the workings of the world that Kami teaches us through the teachings.
Please take this as an opportunity to reflect on your deep-rooted kokoro towards work. And keep negotiating with your clients with a feeling to want to know them better, and the want to build better relationships with them.
*1 Shinji: The principles and teachings that are the word of Ōyamanezunomikoto and given to us through Shisha.
*2 Kokoro: The heart, the mindset; the thoughts and emotions that constantly move between the soul (unmei) and the physical body (jittai); if the kokoro is influenced by our temperament and other physical predispositions of our jittai, it becomes unbalanced; if it becomes one with our unmei, the kokoro becomes balanced and anchored.
