What is the Most Important Thing?
Realization Brought Me an Amazing Change

I really appreciated the presence of my family this year.

Be Consumed by the Atmosphere of the Workplace

My workplace was under a lot of tension because of an influence of the Corona Virus. Therefore, I tried to raise bright topics since I wanted to change the atmosphere to a better environment for all. However, some people responded emotionally and I could not even say hello since I was afraid of them.

Now, I know my self-satisfied smile and cheerful voice were went rounded. At that time, however, my suffering that my effort was not rewarded became more and more.

Began to Feel the Gratitude toward my Family

I decided not to complain at home, however, I unburdened myself to my husband just once. He listened and said “It happens in any workplace.” I realized the preciousness of family who understands and is always there for me was a gift. The teaching that “people could not live alone” flashed through my mind, and I felt from the bottom of my heart why the family is so important.

Although I learned that the family is most important, when I look back, I realized I took my family for granted. I was selfish to expect that since I do all the housework when I am not working, the family should help the housework when I am at work. “There is no reason that I could cherish co-workers when I could not cherish even my family.” I realized so and began to engage in more conversation at home.

Loving Words Change Kokoro

I was ashamed and felt awkward at first. However, my kokoro feels nice and anchored when I talk to them. I began to work well in the unpleasant atmosphere since I became calm.

In addition, when my husband prepared supper for me when I was running late, I felt the warmth of my family and could say “Thank you.” from the bottom of my heart. Then my husband who always does not change an expression on his face, smiles broadly. When I see his pleased face, I am also felt happy.

Greeting and words to thank the other person are both small actions of kindness. However, when I put into words sincerely towards such actions, I realized not only the way of telling to the partner, but also my feelings are surprisingly different. Now, I cherish the small consideration, and try to work on positively every day to make my co-workers feel calm. As I work together with a tone of surroundings, and say warm words…I feel the atmosphere changing little by little.
